Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
Blackbird Foods Recipe
Makes 10 Egg Rolls
INGREDIENTS
For the Egg Rolls…
1 8oz package of Blackbird Sausage
10 vegan Egg Roll Wrappers
½ of a Yellow Onion
1 Clove Garlic
1 cup Mushrooms, diced
1 tsp vegan Worcestershire
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup Pickles, diced
½ cup Vegan Cheddar Cheese
1 cup of Canola Oil
For the Dipping Sauce…
2 Tbsp vegan Mayonnaise
1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
1 tsp Sriracha
METHOD
Sauté Onion, Garlic, and Mushrooms until Onions are translucent. Add all of the seasonings, Sausage and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat, place in a large bowl
Dice Pickle and stir into Sausage mixture. Add Cheese and stir well
To assemble egg rolls:
Place wrapper on flat surface
Wet all the edges of the wrapper with water
Add ¼ cup filling to the center of the wrapper
Fold the bottom corner over filling, fold side corners in and roll up until fully sealed
Heat 1 cup of Oil to 325 degrees Fahrenheit in a small pot. Fry egg rolls in oil until golden brown on all sides
Serve immediately with dipping sauce
