Seitan Gravy (For Biscuits + Gravy)
Blackbird Foods Recipe
Makes 2 1/2 cups
INGREDIENTS
4 Tbsp Flour
4 Tbsp Vegan Butter
1 Onion, chopped
1 Clove Garlic, chopped
1 Box (8 oz) Blackbird Rosemary Garlic Seitan
2 Tbsp Herbs, minced (Rosemary, Thyme, Sage)
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 cups Vegetable Stock
METHOD
Melt Butter in large pan, add onions and sauté for 7 minutes. Add Garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add Blackbird Rosemary Garlic Seitan and Herbs, sauté for another 5 minutes. Season with Salt and Pepper
Add Flour and mix in, continue to sauté on low heat, stirring constantly to avoid burning
Once flour begins to stick to the bottom of the pan, add Veggie Stock, ½ cup at a time, fully incorporating before each addition
Season again with Salt and Pepper and serve over biscuits, top with additional Herbs
