Lazy Lo Mein

Ingredients

1 package Blackbird original seitan 

1 medium onion, slices

4 cups of vegetables of choice (I used oyster mushrooms, carrots, and green beans)

4 servings of noodles, cooked according to package

Sauce

2 cloves of fresh garlic

1/2” piece of fresh ginger

1 tablespoon coconut aminos

1/4 cup liquid aminos or soy sauce

1 tablespoon tahini

1/3 cup water

Optional: sesame oil and sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Blend sauce ingredients in a blender until smooth

  2. Coat seitan in two tablespoons of sauce and set the rest aside for later

  3. Cover seitan and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes

  4. In a small pan, sauté seitan on medium high heat for 5-7 minutes until browned

  5. In a large pan, sauté onion and vegetables in a large pan for 13-15 minutes on medium high heat until tender

  6. Combine cooked noodles, seitan, vegetables, and sauce in large bowl

  7. To serve drizzle with sesame oil and top with sesame seeds and enjoy!
